The KBS TV2 weekend drama "Hot Blood" ended on December 13. In the finale, Ha-ryu (Park Hae-jin) and Seung-joo (Choi Chul-ho) square off over the bidding for an official vehicle project.
Ha-ryu loses the bid but he receives recognition for his audacity and is appointed to oversee a European project at Taepung Motors. Seung-joo is arrested for corruption. A year later, Jae-hee (Chae Jung-an), who visits Europe instead of Ha-ryu to survey the market, reconciles with Seung-joo, who is released from prison. Ha-ryu continues to do his best and presents Da-hae (Cho Yun-hee) with a ring.
"Hot Blood," which is a story about a car salesman, received rave reviews from viewers for dealing with true-to-life subjects despite the absence of gorgeous sets and high-profile cast. The impressive acting of the lead actors (Park Hae-jin, Cho Yun-hee, Choi Chul-ho and Chae Jung-an) and the unique charms of the supporting actors (Lee Won-jong, Lee Sung-min, Cho Jin-woong and Oh Yong) made this drama a pleasure to watch.
After the final episode, viewers wrote in their messages that they had learned a positive lesson from the drama's main character, Ha-ryu, and had been inspired by him to overcome hardships. Some even said that this drama should in no way be judged by viewer ratings and should be given credit for depicting the harsh reality that salaried workers have to face.
