Top Korean actress Ko Hyun-joung has been voted the most outstanding television actor of the year, according to a recent poll by Gallup Korea.
In November, research firm Gallup - which has been conducting annual surveys on society's most influential people since 2005 - asked 1,726 people over the age of 13 who they thought was the most outstanding TV actor / actress in Korea this year. Each voter was allowed to pick two stars.
According to the survey's official results announced on December 16, Ko - who played the role of royal concubine Mi-shil in the hit MBC drama "Queen Seon-deok" - received 34.8 percent of the votes to claim the title.
Actor Lee Byung-hun, who starred in the blockbuster drama "Iris", came in second while his co-star Kim Tae-hee ranked third on the poll.
Ko's co-star Lee Yo-won, who plays the title role in "Queen Seon-deok" was voted fourth and actress Kim Hye-soo came in fifth for her role as an edgy fashion magazine editor in SBS drama "Style".
