The BaekSang Arts Awards is one of the biggest awards ceremonies in the industry in both television and film and are annually held by IS PLUS Corp. This awards is to recognize outstanding achievements in the South Korean entertainment industry and to garner wide public attention upon the best in Korean films and dramas. The 1st Awards were held in January 1965 and Paeksang Arts Awards are awarded every March or April. The latest, the 46th Baeksang Arts Awards were held on March 26 2010 in Seoul, handing out top honors to the films and television programs of the previous year.
